Welcome to TempNumber.me. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the TempNumber.me website and all related services (collectively, the “Service”). Please read these Terms carefully before using our Service. By accessing or using TempNumber.me, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must not use our Service.

1. Service Description

TempNumber.me provides temporary virtual phone numbers that can receive SMS messages online. The Service is designed for legitimate privacy protection and account verification purposes. We offer both shared temporary numbers, which are accessible to all users, and premium private numbers for exclusive use. Temporary numbers are provided on an as-available basis and may be rotated, recycled, or removed at any time without prior notice. The Service does not support voice calls, MMS messages, or outbound SMS.

2. User Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use TempNumber.me. Users between the ages of 13 and 18 must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these age requirements.

The Service is available to users worldwide, subject to applicable local laws and regulations. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with the laws of your jurisdiction. We reserve the right to restrict access from specific regions or countries if required by law or necessary to prevent abuse.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use TempNumber.me only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. The Service is intended for legitimate activities such as protecting your personal phone number during online sign-ups, testing applications, and verifying accounts on platforms where you prefer not to share your real number.

4. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service for any of the following purposes:

  • Fraud, identity theft, impersonation, or any form of deception intended to harm others
  • Creating accounts for the purpose of spamming, phishing, or distributing malware
  • Harassment, stalking, threatening, or intimidating any person
  • Sending unsolicited bulk messages or commercial communications
  • Circumventing security measures, bans, or access restrictions imposed by other services
  • Any activity that violates applicable local, state, national, or international laws or regulations
  • Accessing or attempting to access other users' data or our internal systems without authorization
  • Automated scraping, crawling, or data extraction from our website beyond what is permitted by our robots.txt file
  • Interfering with or disrupting the integrity, performance, or availability of the Service
  • Using the Service in connection with illegal gambling, drug trafficking, money laundering, or terrorism financing
  • Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing temporary numbers or access to the Service without our written consent

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who violates these prohibitions, including blocking access and reporting to law enforcement authorities.

5. Payments, Billing, and Refunds

TempNumber.me offers both shared and premium private temporary phone numbers. Premium numbers and certain services require payment. All prices are displayed before purchase and may vary by country, number type, and availability. Payments are processed through our third-party payment processors. By making a purchase, you agree to the payment processor's terms of service.

All sales are final. Due to the instant-delivery nature of temporary phone numbers, refunds are generally not available once a number has been assigned. However, if a number fails to receive SMS messages due to a technical issue on our end, you may request a replacement or credit by contacting our support team at support@tempnumber.me within 24 hours of purchase. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time without prior notice. Price changes do not affect numbers already purchased. Recurring charges, if applicable, will be communicated clearly before activation.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on TempNumber.me, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, and the overall design and layout of the website, is the property of TempNumber.me or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any content from our website without our prior written permission, except as permitted by applicable fair use laws.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access at all times. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, server issues, telecommunications failures, or circumstances beyond our control. Temporary phone numbers may become unavailable, change, or be recycled without prior notice. We are not responsible for any loss or inconvenience resulting from service interruptions or number unavailability.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY.

We do not warrant that: (a) the Service will meet your specific requirements; (b) the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; (c) any specific temporary number will be available or function with any particular third-party service; (d) SMS messages will be delivered within any specific timeframe; or (e) any errors or defects in the Service will be corrected.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TEMPNUMBER.ME AND ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

This limitation applies regardless of whether the damages are based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TempNumber.me and its operators, affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable laws or third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit or transmit through the Service.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which TempNumber.me operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of that jurisdiction, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

12. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at support@tempnumber.me. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve any dispute within 30 days. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may pursue resolution through the courts as described in the Governing Law section above.

13. Modification of Terms

We reserve the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall continue to apply, including but not limited to ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TempNumber.me regarding the use of the Service, and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications, whether written or oral.
